Most people don’t know the ropes when it comes to reacting to a major plumbing leak in the house. This could mean the difference between mopping up a few gallons and hiring emergency cleaning crews to pump out a few hundred gallons. It’s something that could easily happen while waiting for the night-call plumber to arrive. This can be avoided by educating your tenants and doing the following.
Take the time to show the tenants each of the shut off valves in the kitchen, bathroom(s), the water heater, and the primary valve to the house. Also show them where the water main is, and hang a ‘T-wrench’ for the water main in the garage, in an easily accessible place. Show them how to use it.
This is just a tiny fraction of what we do at PMI Paradise Properties. We take your investments seriously.
